    Polaris Ranger Mechanical Question

While driving my Ranger about 40mph for a mile or two the engine bogged down and wouldn't go, I pulled over and stopped and then it went fine. About 1/4 mile down the road it did it again. Does anybody know what the problem is? Thanks

Not sure what year it is but my brand new 2010 crew bogs down when the e-brake is even a notch on...maybe the handle or sensor is loose?

Start with the basics, replace the fuel filter. When you replace the filter, drain it into a glass jar and let it settle. Check for water beading up on the bottom.

We are fighting a losing battle with all of our boats and small engines lately due to Ethanol. We've had everything from large amounts of water forming to deteriorating fuel lines and fuel pumps on the older engines becase of the 10% Etanol in gas.

If it is a fuel probem, drain the carb and tank if possible then continue using the Stabil with Ethanol treatment from here on out.

          Keep us up to date.

This is exactly where I would start. We got some bad gas.........and have since replaced the fuel filter and drained the gas tank 5+ times on our Mule.

Mine is a 97 XP. It did exactly what you described, except for we didn't quite get to 40 mph. I took it to the Polaris shop and the fuel pump was going out. Cost 485$.
