    Invest 96L in the Caribbean

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

Let me introduce to you Invest 96L...soon to be Bonnie maybe?

Yesterday evening 96L looked well on its way to becoming a depression but overnight it lost a lot of it's deep convection. Over the past hour or so, convection looks to be firing on the west side of the system.

I don't see why this one won't develop into a decent system over the next day or two and once again, us here along the Texas coast are going to have to keep a very close eye on this one. The NHC is currently giving this one a 40% shot of developing.

So where is this one going to end up? Here is the latest model spread.

We do not have a defined LLC at the moment so models are not reliable at all right now. I don't like to give a good guess until their is a low level circulation. Models really aren't liking this one too much right now with most bringing a weak system somewhere into the gulf coast. I'll take a weak system over a hurricane anyday of the week. Just something to keep an eye on over the next couple of days.

Thanks Johnny. I could use another 4-6" of rain to top off my tanks.

Thanks Johnny. It looks like some of what tend to be the more acurate tracks are putting it in here. Still a long way to go.

This guy doesnt look very organized yet. Hopefully it is just a rain maker, not that many of us on the coast need the rain....

                      Update Johnny?

I have not been on the gs since friday, but I got on today just to check the weather. I know I can rely on Johnny for any updates.

                            Thanks Johnny.
