It takes a special person to be a Corp ****. It can be a very rewarding experience for some. I wasn't in the corp, but have many friends that were. Probably the biggest con is that you pretty much live by their schedule 98% off the time. Best thing to do is make a couple of visits to campus and check it out.

        Seriously you can't say tuurd??

I was not in the Core but I sure did love the experience of aTm. I have a lot of respect for the Aggie Core. Have a lot of tradition @ aTm. Also the school is made up of about 90% conservatives or people that are right of the middle.

It's great, but don't let it "consume" you like it did me. You still have grades to make. I will say that as goofy as all us bald headed boys looked, chicks dig the uniform.

Sign up for the "spend the night with the Corps" program. I would even suggest doing it twice you're senior year if they let you. There are many "outfits" or groups that you can join and that's the biggest decision you'll make. Each outfit has its own personality, you just have to find the one that fits you best and it'll be the time of your life. I saw a few outfits that seemed to be controlled by over protective mothers, stay away from those they'll ruin all your fun lol. Good luck!

I was not in the Corp when there, but if I had it to do again I would. If you would consider the military anyway why not let them help pay for at least part of your education. Your a commissioned officer when you graduate, do your time that is required and if it doesn't work for you you can leave at the end of your hitch as a vetern with all those benefits. You will still be young enough to start a career. Besides, when you get your senior boots they must issue you your own girl with the boots. I have seen some of the ugliest seniors with the prettiest girls- has to be the boots....

I wish I would have been in the Corps for the spirit part of it and the closeknit friendship part of that. I became a commissioned officer without it though...I was just a regular student. If you want to be a military officer you don't have to be in the corps. Just go to OCS. ROTC is an option, but not the only option.

But since I was a 2 per center, I am sure that it's OK to be a Farmer Student even if you don't get to pay for the boots.
