Lenny (Squiggy) had a drawing for a free hog-hunt on his lease out in Panola Co. Now, I hunted his place last year with DGilbert, DroptineDreamer and some other fellers from New River Fellowship church last July. Out of 8 guys, all but 3 (me included) shot or saw hogs.
Anyway, so myself, hawgman_1, NBK75, TENRMORE, txmuleyman where lucky enuff to get drawn.
Friday night, Lenny sat me up in a stand they called the Indian Mound. I settled in around 6:30 and about 8:15 came the first sounder of pigs! Boy, that really gets my heart pumping!
I picked out a boar, about 100 lbs or so, and settled the pin right behind his shoulder. Now I've never had heart shot on any animal, so I was stoked! The boar was slightly quarting away when I shot. He took off dragging his left leg. I listened for a crash, but never heard him. I sent a txt to Lenny's brother to help me track, but it wasn't neccessary! He only made it 20 yards! The blood was unbeleiveable! The boar crashed in between two trees and blood was sprayed about 5 feet high on both!!!!

I wanted to take a LDP of his heart, but I totally missed it! Come to find out, the arrow hit right behind his elbow (almost touching, that's how tight it was) and exited his right neck thru the juggler vein!
Weird angle, I guess!
A couple coons, squirrels, and a possum all fell this past weekend. i'll let Txmuley tell ya that one!
Oh yeah, my .17 HMR does a number on river turtles, too!
Out of 6 hunters, we all took shots on hogs!
5 where recovered and 3 where lost (8 total). Great weekend! This by far is my favorite hunt ever!
I must say that Lenny is one class act. He busted his tail like you would not beleive to make sure we had a great time on his dime and time! He even supplied the first night meal! Every green-screener should share a campfire with this man. Real standup guy!
May the Lord shine upon your family, Lenny!
God bless you, brother, and thanks for being such a great host!!!

Enjoy the LDP'S!
Where have we seen this before!
