Today's the Day! - Illinois Bound

It's taken a year to get here but today's the day we leave for our annual Illinois trip. I'm really looking forward to getting away from work and school for a week. Unfortunately my video camera broke last week so I won't come back with any video this year. The weather looks like lows in the high 30's to 40's with highs in the high 50's to 60's. No rain scheduled until next Saturday. Except for the full moon, it should be a great week for hunting.

We're heading out after work today and will probably make it to somewhere in north Texas tonight, leave there early tomorrow morning so we'll arrive at our destination with about 2 hours of daylight to drive around glassing the fields for activity.

Good luck Ed! With no working video, that should insure a giant buck within bow range. Everytime I have been hunting without my camera man, I either kill one or am covered up with deer.
Don't worry, we wont kill all the bucks off the lease while your gone and don't mind the fresh fourwheeler tract in your hunting areas when you get back.

Yes, we're heading to Olney. We made it to Benton Arkansas tonight, staying in a no-name hotel that actually has free wi-fi. One of our guys made it there this afternoon and has already seen some good bucks while driving around the areas we hunt.
