i have a question for all the AR guys. if you are building an Armalite 308 can you use other parts or do you have to use Armalite. thanks

You can use other parts. Just be sure to use quality stuff.

They have to be specifically AR10 platform. Can't be SR25 parts.

What kind of parts are we talking here?

all i know is he has an armalite lower and was wondering if he had to buy an armalite upper and trigger assembly. this is the 308 not the 223 also.

Yes he will need an Armalite parts kit and Armalite upper. I believe there are ways to adapt other uppers but not worth the hassle IMO.
