    Another AR thread...

    What are the benefits of building a AR instead of buying one already made? Are they more accurate? Cheaper?

    better value for your money, ability to put together a group of high end parts that suite your taste better

      For me bulding an AR is just about getting exactly the parts I want. Mine usually dont end up cheaper or better other then the fact that it looks and functions the way I want it too. I think I am on my 10th build right now.

            As far as saving money goes, if were to buy a 6.5 Grendel bare bones with no accessories, I would've been looking at a minimum of $1800 but by buying the parts myself I was not only able to customize it and buy better quality parts, but the gun before accessories only cost $1400...so far I've got about $2000 in her but she's the EXACT rifle that I wanted
