    Video Help: Tripods, Treestands, etc..

For those of you that shoot video what Tripods do you recommend (meaning brand names/models)?

I'm looking for a good one to use inside of the DB-Matrix, and one to use while in a treestand. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Keep, it looks like my Camera is too big for that

No, I don't leave the DB up due to Cows. I really wish I could find some "cow repellant"

Good cow repellent is a blunt on the end of a CX Maxmia Hunter.
I leave my blind up all season and the cows ignore it. When I leave it up I buy the cheapest but functional tripod and leave it in the blind and only unclip the part that screws into the camera. That way as soon as I set my camera in it the next time I hunt it is already pointed at the right spot.

My first recommendation is to study the tripods\camera arms that are made to hold the weight of the camera you are using!
Selections are always due to cost, budget, size of camera, application.
What I recommend is a minimum of a 75 mm ball fluid head tripod so you can do very quick adjustments for leveling and the legs are 2 stage\sections so you can go very low or over 6' high.
I did buy a no name tripod for woods use from MARKERTEK.com online w\ a 50 mm ball head, 2 stage legs with 2 spreaders for less than $100.00 and used it with my camera which weighs over 13 lbs. and it works fine.
          Good luck. Pat

A tripod with a good fluid head will make pans smooth as butter

Thanks Pat, the camera is the Sony FX1 and I am going to have to go with the fluid heads as a must.

TB, I was just about to call you until I seen this post! Thanks, glad your still awake

Got that Death, even Autographed by Mary

I'm looking for some more in depth info

My wife has watched it several times the last few days as she is beginning to "pick up" the camera & bow.
