With friends like this who needs enemies

Me, dad, and my brother went night fishing Friday at Lake Braunig. When we were done we asked a couple of college guys who were at the ramp if they caught anything. they said no but they had a once in a lifetime fishing story. They were anchored up fishing when they heard a lot of splashing. They said they didn't know what it was sounded like a dog swimming. They thought that maybe it was a school of reds or hybrids feeding on top and heading right toward them. They were waiting to slay'em when out of the water a mexican man pops up asking for a ride to the boat ramp. He and his friends got in a fight and they kicked him out of the boat. Now I don't know what kinda friends these are but dang thats is bad. No life jacket no nothing. He said he had to swim about 150-200 yds to the nearest boat. Lucky he didn't drown. We were across from them and we heard some yelling and just thought that they were catching some fish. We all agreed that is a once in a lifetime fishing story.

I imagine there was some butt whooping in store for his "friends" the next day. I wouldn't do that to anybody.

Think drinking alcohol was involved? I bet that was a long swim from the Rio Grande....

I am sure drinking was involved. This is the second time I have fished Braunig and I must say everytime I see some pretty crazy stuff. I was also amazed at how many boats have no lights on them. When you fire up the big engine every flashlight on the lake lights up and they start waving them around. Unsafe to say the least.
