Good audio/video site?

The way audio/video is these days seems nothing is consistent when it comes to connecting everything. Had to buy a new TV yesterday and went with the Sharp Aquos. Our older Panasonic big screen is an HD but not 1080i. I want to get the most out of my system. Anyone know a good site that gives instruction? Thanks.

Watched the the shuttle launch on HDNet last night, very cool.
