    rockport restaraunt question

There is a mexican food restaraunt just outside of town on the westside towards city by the sea. Its a little hole in the wall type place. I believe its called puerto vallarta or vallarta, haven't been there in a quite some time, but it used to be really good. Anyone know anything about it of late? Is it still open, still good, etc.

It's been busy when I've gone by, but I usually opt for Los Comales--Hwy 35 south in Rockport.

Los Comales is good. Duck Inn is good. DO NOT EAT AT THE BIG FISHERMAN!!!

Got food poisoning there a few years ago. State health and human services would not leave me alone. Wanted all sorts of info from me. Come to find out the get food poisoning reports on them 5x more often than normal.

        I thought Duck Inn closed?

Wrangler, are you talking about the Mexican joint in the pink building?

I ate at the boiling pot around 11:30 today and I can say that was the best *** I've had on a meal in a long time. For me and a buddy it was $87 dollars, we got a pound of shrimp, a pound of crawfish, and a pound of crab legs. The shrimp where BAD, and its easy to tell this when you cant peel them and they are slimy. The crab legs cost use $48 alone and we only got 4 of them, they where not good and had very little meat. I could have bought alot of good steaks at HEB for the price of this lunch. I never complain about meals or the price of them, but I can honestly say I got screwd earlier....

There really is no good seafood resturants in Rockport, it really is sad. I think a decent one would make a killing down here, atleast 6 months of the year

I havent ate at the mexican food restaurant in question, but it is always packed when I pass by, but thats not saying much considering the options.....

I moved to rockport 2 months ago and think I have eaten at every joint in town. Its true, there really is not a good seafood place here. Best I've found so far is Ocean Street Grill in downtown Corpus. Los Comales gets my mexican business and Moondogs gets my casual business. Try the burger at Moondogs, you won't be disappointed

We must have the same taste, Los Comales is great, I've ate there last night. I always hit Moondogs and the Pizza and speggetti place that starts with a P what is it Panjos or something
