    Got cows?

So hears the deal……I am curious who is among the privileged who get to hunt property that does not have livestock on it. I am so sick of cattle! On a side note I do love eating them though.

      I build fences.....

and still hate them. But I do think that deer will get used to them.

There is a limit, though. A few is one thing, having 50 standing around your feeder is another.

One day, I'm gonna buy some of my own cows, just so I can shoot them at will.

we have 3 patches of land seperated by CR's and one has a 10 acre neighbor tract between it
3 Tracts with deer shot from each!!!! All in same exact area
        30 acres no cows= 137, 125, 115,113, 105.
        40 acres no cows= 115,
        140 acres cows= several 95-110.

Yes their are certain circumstances but the biggest deer have been shot on the 2 tracts with no cows. Also the biggest deer have been seen on the places without cows.

We got cows on our lease...there was 9 when we leased on and during a hog hunt 37 of them walked up to my feeder to chill out and stare at me...needless to say it took all my might to not let an arrow fly!!! Now we have counted close to 60 head. i think every time I hunt about buying a few from the land owner!

We have cows but they are put in another pasture during hunting season so they don't bother us during the season.

We don't have cattle, but we do have elk and buffalo which are worse.

I'd take cattle over sheep any day a week.

yes from what i hear goats/sheep are terrible for deer and deer hunting!!!!! If possible, the best solution would be to move cows to another area during deer season or sept-jan if possible.
