I haven't said much about it because it is such a long and arduous process and so few that apply are accepted, but my son Matt has applied for a position with the FBI.
There are several phases of testing and interviewing, then some very strenuous physical fitness testing, then the medical physical, then a VERY thorough background investigation and even a spousal interview.
The process has taken more than a year but Matt got a call this week and has been accepted. His academy date will be August 1st. He'll be going to Quantico, VA for 22 weeks of training before being assigned to a field office somewhere.
It goes without saying that I am extremely proud of him and proud for him since he has worked so long and so hard for this. I'm sure my opinion is a bit biased but I think he'll make an awesome FBI Agent.
