I have heard that on big aoudad you wanna take out there shoulders. Has anyone else heard this? Or hit them in the top of the back. The one I shot in my album I hit like you would a whitetail and he dropped. They are pretty hearty. Axis wise shoot them low there vitals are different.

You tryin to get the fella a wounded aoudad? With a rifle, yes, these are the shots I would take (but be careful b/c the spinus process is higher on aoudad). With a bow, shoot them 3 inches above the elbow and 2 inches forward and it'll be a quick tracking job.

Hunt over water for the big axis bucks. They don't hit corn in high pressure hunting situations.

I have no Idea that's why I am glad you chimed in. Sorry about that. I took both axis and aoudads I have shot with a rifle. I was just saying with a rifle. Actually it never came into my mind about bow hunting sorry dude

Don't shoot either behind the shoulder unless you don't want to find them. The vitals on axis and audad are farther forward.

Auodad --> in front of the shoulder as stated above with either bow or rifle.
