I am tired of paying for D batteries everytime I go to the ranch and thought about looking into getting some rechargeable ones. Where did you get them and about how much were they. I would need 12 to convert all cameras over but may just start with one camera and see how it works. Thanks

Unless you add a solar panel, they won't last very long. rechargeable batteries only start out at 1.2 volts, and the cameras use 1.5 volt D cells. You can wire in a solar panel though and they'll last indefinately. I've thought about doing that myself, but just have never gotten around to doing it. I used to run my 6 volt feeders that way. It works pretty good. Just open up the camera and wire in a solar panel on the black and red wires coming from the batteries to the camera, and you'll be good to go.
