because some folks care more about their wife and marriage than deer hunting - that is my guess anyways

Oh, we planned it right. July 3rd (this year) that weekend's always going to be devoted to something other than hunting or fishing, so I'm good to go. Let's just hope we don't end up with a honeymoon baby or turkey season's going to be toast. . .

Oh, crap that's coming up quick!!

I rememeber a buddy of mine got married in Minnesota on opening weekend of Duck season. He is an avid duck hunter. His wife said that they would celebrate their anniversiry on a different weekend to get him to agree to the date (thats when the hall she wanted was available). Anyone want to guess how many times he got to go to duck opener before he got divoriced? lol

Got married on sept 22nd my idea for honeymoon hunting trip. Her idea go to Gruene, tx. Guess where we spent our honeymoon. But I did get to spend almost every weekend in the stand during deer season because she felt bad.

I told my sister (who will be getting married next year) she better not get married around deer season. Dad agreed so I think Im safe. One of our really close family friends got married last year in Dec. They were a little hurt that I didnt go. Funny thing was that they didnt believe me when I told them 3 months before that I would be hunting instead...

My folks got married on Oct 23 which in Oklahoma is black powder season. My dad would be gone every year for that week and my mom considered it the best present he could have given her. A vacation from him. lol

I hope his fiance doesn't mind that I will be showing up at the wedding right out of the treestand. Good thing is he is getting married on the family farm, which will allow me to hunt before and after the wedding........I can't miss the wedding, since I will be in it........

A little preparation is good also. I was hardly a hero when I came back from a fishing trip to Lake Murvaul on our 1st anniversary . . . . but all was well after I got her, pre-wrapped present out of the closet and took her out to dinner . . .December 19, 1971 . . I can't get rid of the woman! . . . LOL
