Picked up my boat last Saturday and took it out Sunday. Caught 2 stripers largest 23". Managed not to sink it. We did however almost lose a downrigger. My buddy who has never fished with a downrigger thought the clutch knob was loose so he tightened it down. Well ofcourse that would be the one we hang on a tree. Tour the gimble up but nothing that can't be fisxed. Also dropped my $200 pair of sunglasses in the water. Overall a great maiden voyage.
Monday Ray and Don with Wildcatlights came to the office and installed my fishing lights. These are bad arse. Within minutes of being in the water we had baitfish swarming around us. It was awesome watching the baitfish ball up on screen. We went under the 281 bridge on Lake Marble Falls and we watched baitfish come in. They were stacked 15ft to surface. Unbelievable how bright these lights are. they lite up both pillars of the bridge. These are goig to be awesome when it comes to night fishing.
