All depends how much you spend. Would probably be better to get him a gift card so he can try different bows and see which one feels best to him.

If you know what bow he wants and are going to suprise him with it, then just make sure to get a gift receipt.

I know what bow he wants, he has been talking about it for a long time now. I was wanting to get him some add ons like a new sight and whatnot,

Take him to an archery shop and let him pick out his own setup- Everyone has their favorites- take sights- some folks like .29 pins some .19 pins- Something that you could surprise him with is custom arrows if you know his draw weight and length- there are people that custom crest arrows with anything you want. Just a thought.

Welcome!............dump him....date me! I 2nd, 3rd, 4th? Getting the gift certificate. He will get his bow and it will fit him perfectly. I would guess that $1200 would get him bow, arrows, site, rest, release.....with little to spare.

Welcome to the campfire!!! Like everyone else has said, archery equipment needs to be specific to each individual bowhunter. Even though you know which bow he wants, there are still issues to be considered like draw weight, draw length, etc. I think a gift card would be the way to go. Buying your boyfriend a bow is an awesome gesture! Keep up the good work!

You and my fiancé need to talk. if he has an old bow that fits him perfect and he's just drooling over a newer one. Then take the old one in and tell the pros this is the measurements you need on a new one. Explain its a gift and if need can it be returned for a different one.

You can get him a bow case (if he doesn’t already have one) and get a gift card to put inside of it. Then the two of you go get the proper rig w/ all the goodies. If he currently has a bow case just wrap it up with the GC in it. This makes giving a gc more fun to open

which ever way you decide to go with the gift, he's going to enjoy the hell out of it, I would.
