    Lil flashlight issue

WELL.... I went and let the batteries corrode in my MAG light and now there stuck in the body of the light. Is there any way to get them out and clean the base or is it junk?

Mine did the same thing and has never worked since. Let me know if you find a solution.

Take both ends out, and find something to beat them out. Be careful doing so and definitely wear something for your eyes. After they are out put on the end cap and fill it with coke, it will help eat the corrosion. I have a Mk-19 bore brush that I have also used to "scrub" out the inside.

Junk it and buy one of these! Last flashlight you will ever need to buy. I have one and it is the cat's meow.

If they were Dura-Cells or Energizers, both companies used to have a warranty deal that would replace the flashlight if their batteries corroeded any equipment... might check that out too. might just get you a new light for free... worth a shot...

That looks too good to be true! How long have you had yours? Does it really charge in 90 seconds? Which programing did you get? How often do you use it? Thanks.

I thought that maglite will repair as well.

I have a couple just like it. Sometimes I use them for hammers.

I sent a Maglite with the leaking batteries inside to the battery company (Energizer I think) and they sent me a coupon for a new Maglite. Shipping batteries via USPS is technically against the law, since they are included in the 'hazardous materials' list at the post office. Go figure.

for the price of the light i would not worry about it and just get another,,, but there is one you should look at if you decide to get a new one, coleman has a couple one is 25$ runs for like 24 hours on aaa batteries, 115 lumens, bright and has a fairly focused beam, there are actually 2 versions of it, one has a red, green or white the other is just white,,, affordable and think about a flashlight that you can turn on at dark to day and it will still be running at dark tomorrow!

Personally I'd throw it in the trash and go get a good flashlight. Maglights just don't put out that much light for their size. I'd get something brighter, smaller, and lighter.

Not to good to be true. It doesn't have batteries. It has an ultra capacitor. I've seen them that you can plug into the outlet in your truck for 90 seconds and they are charged. The only bad side is you need the power source nearby to recharge, can't just bring extra batteries. And the runtime isn't great, it has gotten alot better but still not great. But overall they are great lights.
