    CHL question

Is it legal to carry in Corp of Engineers parks and campgrounds?

    #2
No it is not. The COE does not allow concealed carry on any of it's properties. It does allow the use of firearms for hunting if during an active hunting season.

The recent law allowing carry on National parks does not apply to COE lands.

State laws do not supersede federal laws so if you are on a state park that is owned by the COE then you also cannot carry there, even though carry on State Parks is legal under other circumstances.

The COE operates a number of campgrounds and parks that are not leased by state agencies and are actually run by the COE. These are also federal lands and do not allow concealed carry. Carrying a gun in your vehicle is also not allowed on federal lands.

I have this directly from both Texas Parks and Wildlife and the COE.
