My girlfriend found some kittens. They are maybe 5 weeks old and they are covered on fleas what ind of flea meds can I use on kittens.

None.....the flea control stuff is too strong for a cat that young....give them a bath in a mild shampoo.....I would then get them to a vet to see if they are anemic and he/she can then tell you what else to do for them....

Get some Capstar from your vet. Safe in kittens as young as 4 weeks. The fleas will start falling off in 30 minutes. It doesn't have any residual though.

That is good stuff. When I rescued my coonhound he was covered with fleas, had flea blobs the size of grapes hanging off near his butt. I gave him capstar, then put drops on him and the fleas were gone pretty quick. Getting them out of my yard was a problem! I had to spray 3 times and dust. The vet said if I hadnt taken the dogs they probably would have died with in a week. There was no color to their gums and they were lethargic. The guy wanted $150 for each but I threw him a $50 and loaded them up, he didn't argue
