South Padre Island

We are heading to South Padre tomorrow morning for a well needed rest. Hopefully we will beat the oil down there. Any recreational suggestions for us while we are down there. Places to go, eat, etc.. Thanks

I'll be down there with Corndog in 3 weeks...grew up in the Valley but haven't been to SPI in a few years. I'll stay tuned in to the suggestions as well!

We were there on tuesday. Don't worry about the oil. All that is WAY up north. where are you staying on the island? I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Blackbeards on SPI is a good place to eat. My daughter loves the sea turtle rescue center.

Try what used to be the Denny's restaurant...it's now called "Calico Jacks".
Supposed to be some AWESOME food there. Only downside (for some) is that their liquor license is in the works and may take a couple more weeks.

I havent been in years, (like 13), so I don't know. My priorities where different then. I'm no help now.

White Sands Motel Restaraunt on the Port Isabel side--all you can eat fried fish. It is the bomb.
