I know someone on the TBH braintrust has done this before. We may purchase a Portable building from a school and have it moved to the deer lease. It is twenty four x thirty two right now but it is made to be moved in two pieces. Anyone have suggestions on who to call that can move it from Friendswood to Yancey and someone who could help set this thing up at the lease? Appreciate any other info on what to look out for.

Several years ago I purchased one of those rather large storage bldgs that you see out in front of Lowe's. Needed to have it moved to my house. Lowe's refused to move it because it wasn't their product. I called the mfg. and he gave me the name of the person who he contracted with. He wanted to charge me more than I paid for the bldg.!Then I called every lot in San Antonio that sold storage bldgs. Same story, so I finally got in touch with a wrecker driver and he charged me only $65. Picked it up and delivered it to my house and put it on the pad I had prepared for it. Good luck !!

i know that the house movers that move them here in dallas charge over $4000 to move the 24x32' portable buildings and set them up,but that is in the city, buying the required permits with an escort.
he also told me that house movers cannot move trailer houses and trailer house movers are not allowed to move houses, but i don't know how true that is
