    Rubik's Cube

Has anyone ever actually worked one of these things? Not talking about sticker peeling or disassembling either. A co-worker bought one for the slow days here at work. Well after 20+ years it still frustrates the heck out of me. This one will not be used for batting practice though like the ones of my childhood.

They're evil. My first one went thru my bedroom window. Heard they now have them with numbers on them instead of colors. To be solved in the sudoko numbers game style. Heck I'm still tryin to make friends with my pet rock. Darn thing won't eat...

My kids each recieved one for Christmas. I've been able to solve them though I never could as a seventh grader.

if there had only been websites around back in the early 80s to help a kid out!

Back in the mid-early 80's (5th and 6th grade for me), I could do one in under 5 minutes pretty regularly. Did it timed one time in front of the class in under a minute. Tried to pick one up last week at my Mom's, and it wasn't like riding a bike. :help:

                Just curious.......

How can you get 5 sides only? without the sixth?

                type-o?

My brother, 28 yo, for some reason decided to buy one a couple of years ago, and read the strategy for solving it online. Now he can solve it in less than a minute every time. What a dork.

I had the book that came with mine in the 80's, i could work in most of the time. if I got frustrated, I could just put it down and usally when I came back to it, I could figure it out.

I still hate the darn things. One of my best friends in Jr. High could do it in about a minute.

I solved mine by having my high school #1 starter throw it to me in BP and I deposited it over third base with the help of an 33" Easton Black Magic......
