    Dagnabit....Not again!

Found out yesterday that I have to have another back surgery this year. In May 2005 I had my L4/L5/S1 fused and everything went well. All the pain I was suffering from was gone. No hip/leg/foot pain and no tingling. Lately I've been feeling a tightness in my lower back and pinch in my right buttocks. Just wanted to find out what was going on rather than continuing taking pain meds. As it turns out, when you have a fusion they put titanium screws into your vertabrae which holds a bracket together to support the spine where the fusion is until the bone graft takes hold. Well one of the screws has started to back out of the bone and is starting to pinch a nerve and this is causing my new problem. What bothers me is that now I have to be put under again and cut open. Doc said he just needs to remove the hardware and that it won't be anything near to what he did with the fusion. Its June and I'm working out for my Elk hunt in September and then the next month deer season starts so I can't do it now. Guess December will be the month. Sure thought I'd never have to go through this again
