anyone got the old model Moultrie Game Spy 100???

I saw my neighbors pics and was blown away at the quality. Best pics I have ever seen. it is a flash camera and holds a 6v battery. That is what I love best and it is cheap.....These cameras are hard to come by now and wanted to see what yalls experiences were with them.

They look just like the new Moultrie D40's but hold a 6v battery

I have about 20 total Gamespy 200 (basically same camera) but over the years I am keep having to replace them due to the screen not working. They still function as a camera and for the price and a solar panel you can't beat it. When placing a camera over a feeder I don't think trigger time is that important but I am sure someone will disagree...we usually have to filter thru about 20k of pictures each month so to say that I missed a few is ok with me. The power panels are a great addition that can be added to any camera with a few cuts and mods.

yea well this older model holds a 6v battery which wil last 1-2 months easily and that is plenty good for me. I wont spend 60-80 on that power panel. yes the GS200 is basicly the same as the 100 i believe wo the 6v capacity. I couldnt believe the pic quality on this GS 100 and the camera is like $100 but discontinued.

        I have a 100 and 200. Battery life isn't great on the 100. 200 was a better camera.

I still have 2 of the 200's. Screens are out on both of them but they work still. They was "da bomb" back in the day. Now I prefer the Bushnell's!!

How was the 100 battery life bad, if it has a 6v battery. 6v should last a month easily.

The 200's are IR correct? I want a flash camera, I am also looking at the old Stealth I590 as my uncle has one and its awesome with great flash range.

I had a 100 for years before it died. It took great pictures.

battery life is dependent on how often your camera activates to take pictures or use the flash...because it uses a real flash it uses more power per picture. I couldn't get my camera's to go 10 days without the battery going dead even with conventional charger in place...with the power panel I am going 3-4 months without changing batteries. I have since switched all my cameras over to the power panel because at the cost of 59 bucks ordered online...its well worth my time and effort not to have to change batteries every two weeks.

I've got a Gamespy 200, 5 years old now, still going strong,
I use the rechargeable 6V, and have never needed a solar panel, last well over a month
I'm dreading the day it finally craps out on me

had the 100. Took pretty good pics. Battery if I recall correctly lasted about 2 weeks, maybe 3. It has long been in the trash.
