    Sea-Doo Help

It's long shot, but I am in need of an impeller removal tool for a seadoo. I'm in Pearland, but willing to drive anywhere in the Houston area to get it. I will be at work from 1pm-9:30 the next few days, so anytime before or after works for me. Here is a pic of what I am looking for.

    Thanks,

    Brandon

Thanks for the offer, but I need it in the next few days and with the postal service being shutdown until Tuesday it would be too late. I would imagine a local shop would have one, but I heard they are way overpriced and I they aren't even open until Tuesday.

Unfortunately no marinas anywhere near my house.

How does that work? You don't think you can use something else to get it off.

The impeller is threaded on and you need that tool to stick into the splines to un-screw the impeller. I think I've tried just about every method possible while making sure I didn't damage the impeller itself to no avail.

Ok I see , it is threaded onto the shaft.
Yeah proper tool for the job is the best bet maybe on that.
You can probably make one later out of a old tranny front shaft if the spline matches.
If not I would just buy the tool and be done with it.
You might find one cheaper online.

Just did a little search and found this, that's not a bad price for the tool.

Yea the online prices aren't bad at all, unfortunately I didn't plan on servicing my boat and needing it. The dealers will be open tomorrow, so hopefully I can find one there...I'm going in with vaseline because I know they'll bend me over good.

Just curious, why do you need it out? Belt imp, wear ring, or bearings?

Wear ring...I took the boat out and noticed it topped out about 15mph slower and didn't want to jump out of the hole. When I got home I looked and the wear ring was in terrible shape...there were chunks of it hanging down on the front and back end of it.

That would be great. Not sure what your schedule is, but I get off work at 9:00 tonight and could be in your area around 9:30 if that's not too late for you. Let me know.

                          Thanks,
                          Brandon
