    Oil Field Roll Call

Interested to see who all on the greenscreen works out in the patch.
I'm an MWD hand for LEAM Drilling Systems out on Cactus 138 in Wheeler, TX right now, a little over 5,000' from TD on our second well on this pad. Hoping we can lay the hammer down on her so I can see home for a few days sometime soon hopefully! Been out here working on 2.5 months straight right now.

I work in Mexico, we are also on our second well on the same pad, we are about to run our last string of casing.... I work a 28/28 rotation and have 12 more days then a little R&R time, looking forward to our trip to the Frio while I am home this time!!!

I have twin cousins that work in the patch too, one is a MWD and the other is a DD, I don't know how you guys can stay out on the rig for so long at a time!!!! Kudo's to you guys!!!

it's a tool that "Measures While Drilling"

used to measure hole angle and inclination and transmits the downhole data to the surface

they're also really good at crapping out constantly these days

I was a geological draftsman at Pennzoil, then Pogo Producing when it was spun out of Pennzoil, and finally at Plumb Oil (exploration departments)

I changed professions when the Landmark Graphics workstation replaced me

My paternal grandfather was a drilling engineer and my maternal grandfather was an attorney/landman

This, basically we let the directional drillers know which way the well is turning so they can steer it where it needs to go to intercept the targets. It also gives us a gamma reading that lets us know when we are going through formation changes and what formations we are in

Just curious. I have hunted the Stiles Ranch just East of town for years. I wast there the end of April turkey hunting. I love the new Belmont Inn. If they just had a couple more options to eat. The Mexican place gets old. That is a great area to work.
