AXIS QUEST 2010 Week One
Well it is that time of year. 3 of us will be out chasing the Spotted ones. We have done some pre scouting and the prey has been spotted. On this hunt this week will be Me, Archery1st, and "Q". The lease runs through the end of July, so we have plenty of time to make it happen. I will say that we have changed the menu a bit. We can now kill an Axis or an Auodad. Lots of Auodad have been seen, just need the bigger ones to stand still. I have killed 3 32+ inch axis over the last 4 years, so Auodad is looking really good to me. But at the same time, the Wife wants some more Axis meats.
We will have Cell service, so we will do this as a live thread. We should hit the ranch around 10pm tonight and start hunting in the morning. Temps will be hot, and hotter.
I will say without a doubt, that we can not tell a story like Tuthdoc did on his Axis Quest threads, But we will try are best to make them enteraining and updated. Tuth is never far from me. Especially when we get to the Axis ranch that he loved so much. Might have to take a ride back to Tuthdoc Canyon and say hello.
