Knats...... that BITE.....

Ok, on the coast I experience knats that bite. No-seeums or something like that. But, in Rocksprings this weekend there were knats. Bothered the heck out of me all weekend while we were working. Now...... they are bothering me again because I have about 2000 bites that are itching like I had chiggers.

Anyone ever experience this? It is my first time. Knats for me bite, itched a little while then it went away. Nothing like this! My ankles, back of my knees upper back, lower back, belly, ears, eyes, toes, fingers, elbows....... ALL ARE BITE.

Sounds like Buffalo Gnats Danny. They used to be real bad back home around Mexia and Fairfield lake especially.

I have about 2000 bites that are itching like I had chiggers.

If it looks like a chigger bite, feels like a chigger bite it may be a chigger bite. Chiggers are extremely bad right now.

Holdem, they are not chiggers for sure. They are bites from those knats without question.

Avon skin-so-soft lotion is the only thing that I have used to keep them little buggers away! Makes ya smell perty too!!!

Buffalo knats have about a two week period that they bite. The bites will welt up and look ugly.....

When I get a mosquito bite, I get a whelp and itch a little like anyone else. But let a gnat bite me and I swell up like a toad! And ThermaCell don't work on them either.

Best thing I've found is repellant made with citronella. Deet works okay too, but that stuff gives you the cancer.

Trailboss, that is why I ruled out chiggers. These bites itch like chiggers, but I have whelps like yellow jackets have stung me

Ive had em before, not chiggers or mosquitos, but little gnats. I got tore up by them on my buddy's ranch in Victoria county a few summers ago. As weird as it sounds wildman, do they smell kinda funny when you scratch them?

We have them at the lease in Three Rivers. The bites last a long time too. I had on my face mask and those little suckers bit me all around the eyes. The bites lasted about 2-3 MONTHS!

TB is right, Thermacell does not work on them.

Umm, Park5115....... scratch-n-sniff knat bites? Ummm nope I ain't scratched them and smelled them.
