computer malfunction, try unpluggin the battery and let it sit for a while, or unplug the ecm fuse in the truck either should do it, after put back together drive the truck for a while to let it relearn an go into sensor ready status. if this dosnt work then it could be a throttle position sensor, mass air flow sensor, bad injector, trash in the fuel, fuel filter needin replacement, or fuel pump is about to go out, its a good list of things but we had to run it down in my buddies 99, hope this helps

Maybe a small vacuum leak??? Reving up brings it back and slowing down loses it??

Throttle Sensor? I am no mechanic by no means, but I had one do the same thing ('03) and also caused the transmission to feel as if it was slipping.

they are hard to fix over the phone...... But, start with the cheapest thing.... clean the throttle body
