Looking for an Aftermarket Rear Bumper

Somehow, the bracket on the right side of my rear bumper cracked and broke today. I just noticed it when I got home. (I know I didn't hit anything ) So, I'm in the market for a rear bumper. I've got a welder and know how to use it, but I've been thinking about an aftermarket bumper for a while now. If I can't find a good one I will just fix the one I have. The truck is a 93 Ford F250.

Ranchhand wants $500, and their bumper is only rated to 5000 pounds.

Anyone know of any other companies that make rear bumpers? I want black, and it needs to be rated to at least 8,000 pounds. Under $500 would be nice too.

    Thanks!

With bodyguard you keep your reciever hitch on your truck so whatever class reciever you have is what your towing weight is

your best bet would be a ranchhand....its rated the same weight as your factory receiver. if your worried about losing your factory reciever dont....ranchhand makes a bolt on reciever that is rated at the same. i have actually seen several guys weld them on the bumper and could easily handle 12-15k lbs.
another reason to get the bolt on reciever is for a winch option later down the road. it will let the winch carrier have more room than the factory one under the bumper.
i have a ranchhand legend series with lights on mine...i changed out the reverse lights and put in some red and wired it up to my brakes. it looks good.
not many people will make bumpers for that truck....i have sold nearly every company out there and still stand behind ranchhand.
            other suggestions would be....
Iron Bull Bumpers out of Arizona....Jesse is one heck of a guy...bullet proof bumpers but al little higher than you wanted...
Throttle Down Kustoms....again, high but bullet proof...
Tough Country....they will make the bumper how you want and they are down around San Antonio.
do not go with frontier if your looking for strength..i have seen many of the diamond plate only bumpers fold like a coke can.
South Texas Outfitters....high quality good lookin stuff...
Top Gun...dont think they make one for your truck but they are pretty much identical to ranchhand...
Rough Country...out of Winters Texas...not as well made as some of the others but well within your price range and built tough.

still standin behind ranchhand....texas built and tough as a rock....mine have been through hell and back....i have replacements front and rear....

Tough country makes a beast of a bumper. They are actually south of Houston. I got a buddy that works for them and have seen the work they do. Top notch. Ranch Hand is good and also Browns Welding in New Braunfels.

Thanks for all the info guys. It looks like the guy I bought the truck from did some fancy welding to the rear bumper. The weld just split right down the middle.

I love my bodyguard, but I don't know if he has a jig set up for a 93 model. I believe with the ranch hand the tow rating is 10k pound towing off the bumper and 5k if you use a receiver.

I've got a bolt on receiver for sale. As long as your bumper mounts into the frame channel they will work.

                          Hey tractorred,

As long as it will haul at least 8k and will fit my truck, yes I'm very interested!

According to the ranchhand website and their customer service hotline though, there is only one bumper available for my truck and it is only rated to 5k, with a receiver or without. Do you know if this is the case, or if maybe it's an older bumper with a better rating?

                          Thanks. Located in San Angelo?
