Efax.com - Beware

If you are thinking about a paid service like efax do not do it. I was unaware of the scrupulous billing practices and horrible customer service. I signed up to send some faxes out for work on Wednesday. Thursday I get an email that says your account is suspended for over use activity.

I call the number and they say that i need to FAX a copy of my credit card front and back. I say no way and they say then it will remain suspended. So after typing into google "efax bites" tons of people had the exact same problem. Well today is Friday and I have spent 3 hours calling and arguing to get my account unsuspended.

Here is the kicker I decided to cancel but since my account was suspended I cannot cancel

I am still on hold as I type this thread.

I signed up for metrofax last night. What are any of you guys using.

I use a scanner and email.

I use efax and have been very happy with their service for two years.

I use myfax.com. No issues.

I use faxzero.com just pay per fax when I need to fax something.

I've had efax for 7 years and it's been great. I will say however, that I mostly use a scanner, pdf and email for 80% of my fax stuff now.
