An absolute work of art. You sir are a talented man. I really enjoyed looking at your website as well. Thanks so much for sharing this. I can't even build a decent dog house.

I took a boat building class that was $495.00 and included the materials. If you are doing it on your own I would say about $250.00 depending on if you use marine plywood or not. Also whether you use fiberglass, epoxy or just varnish it. If you build it out of luan and cheaper woods and just varnish it you could do it for under $150.00 but it would not last as long as good grade marine plywood and epoxy.

Believe me, before I went to the boat building class I could not build anything either. I now can figure angles, run a mitre and band saw, hand plane, power plane and sand. I am building a folding slat chair from plans now and I am starting another boat in a few days. I would never have tried to do these projects before. If I can do it anyone can. ET

I built one of those basic ones a few years ago too. It also took me about 40 hours to build. I made mine from 1/4 plywood to be lighter weight (about 44 #) I still have it but have not used it in a good while. Nice website as stated by others!
