    Keeping mice/rats/coons out of camp?

So let me here some ideas. How do you guys keep critters out of your camps?

    Especially mice and rats.

We throw moth balls all under the trailers, and seems to work pretty good. But are there any other ideas???

Plenty of mousetraps baited with peanut butter. Packets of "Final Bite" poison. Sunbeam electronic pest repellers (plug into 110 outlet). Mothballs work but I discontinued them inside the house because they're carcinogenic...

We keep a couple of house cats around the house. But we have capabilities to go by there often to feed and water. Before that we went by a local feed store and he gave us some stuff to sprinkel around the camp and it worked as well. I don't know the name of it, so as usuall this is another useless post from Aaronm.

We set out a gauntlet of moth balls, rat poison, and rat traps. Those little "suckers" can over run a camp in no time flat if you don't get a handle on them.

We put down old carpet under where the camper is parked then got a bunch of ant killer granular stuff and put it out on top of the carpet. No mice, spiders, snakes, ticks or chiggers after that. And you can walk barefooted on the carpet.

Bounce dryer sheets throughout your trailer and moth balls on the ground under the trailer.

We dont use the mothballs inside. Just under the trailers.

I used to have a real problem in my travel trailer at the lease and then I bought some of those pest deterrants that plug into the wall and that kept them out 100%. We turned off the power after the season at the main breaker not thinking about those things. Well, my next trip down to the lease I found momma and two babies on my mattress. I will make sure I never shut power off again. I burned that mattress btw.

Yea, thats why they are outside, under the trailer. Over time, they dissolve into the ground.
