    Madisonville area eats?

Well, the wife and I will be spending our anniversery up near Madisonville June 3rd thru the 6th. We plan on just doing stuff....I need some input on were to eat. BBQ, Mexican, Steak.....Centervill to Huntsville is the areas we'll be, so any help from the green screen would be great!

Take her up 75 to the Leona General Store on Friday or Saturday nites.

Three things there on the menu. Steak, Pork or Chicken. They are all good. You might find a steak as good but you wont find one better anywhere.

I eat there most every Saturday night.

Can't quite remember the name, but there was a great little BBQ shack at the intersection of Hwy 7 & Hwy 45 in Centerville, at least 15 years ago the last time I went through there and it was known for the BBQ!

Not much else in Madisonville for sure except fast food. Randy is correct on the Leona spot!

If you want to make a trip into College Station for some breakfast there is a place called Hullabaloo's. It's about an hour drive from Madisonville but the food would be worth the drive. The place is actually in the small town of Wellborn.

Well Ill help you out then for history if your gonna print it out.

Mexican food: Rancho Viejo on the square or Los Ranchos by Walmart. They are good and exacltly the same.

Breakfast Tacos: Arjon Taco its on the south side of 21 east of the square. The Taco Place its behind the donut shop north on 75 from Hwy 21 intersection. Both are great places.

BBQ: Larrys BBQ on the west side of town on 21 or not as good Jiffy Mart at 21&45 by Bucee's

Burgers/Lunch: Walkers Soda Fountain and Legends Steakhouse are probably equally as good. Both are on the square in town.

Supper Time: Leona General Store best steaks youll find anywhere. Shrimpy's Seafood on 45 access road. (Not to far from your place) Great seafood for this part of the world.

The chinese food buffet by Walmart is good for being in Madisonville. Pizza Hut here is good to.

If you think I left something out I didnt several places here I wouldnt eat at.

Randy nailed em all! We eat at Walkers quite a bit, and Rancho Viejo.
If you follow 75 north out of town for about 20 miles or so you will find the Pecan Grove lunch room...GREAT lunches! Small old style cafe and home cooking. I like the Texas Dip sandwich and if you stop by on King Ranch Chicken day, get it!
