There's a bow smith a master technician in Ohio I recall who will take a bow used or new and tweak it by proper tuning d making new string & cable s that will max out bow performance It Cost $100 up
he tooka Parker Micro Carbon Extreme that was 40# and got something like 19 FPS faster speed with the same arrow
its a shooter
he is also a gunsmith and fine tune Military cannons & howitzers etc

"Crackers"
"Crackers" is Mike Carter, owner of Carter's Archery in St. Joeseph, Missouri. He has a small shop like any other small town archery pro shop. Mike has made himself famous on Archery Talk with his bowing tuning genius. He can get everything possible out of your bow. He will tune it accurate, fast and quiet. He calls this process "Crackerizing It". He also makes quality strings.
"Crackers" is the name of Mike's pet Chinchilla.

He's also been known to add one riser to a unique and different set of limbs from a different company, figuring out the buss cables and string to make it work. Hybrid bows taking a riser from one and limbs from another and getting a unique configuration dialed in. He does it all from what I've heard.

I had a bow done by cracker a few years ago when he first started rolling, the bow shot great when i sent it. It was 1000% better when i got it back. Incredible.
I got on the waiting list with my tribute and 3 months later we weren't even close. He's got a long list if you have a bow already. My next new bow I might call him upfront and see what he has in the shop ready to go. Especially with the bowtechs he was getting the limbs in sync and the cam lean out.
If you can get a bow into him and back in a time frame your comfortable with. . . .worth every penny. I think the full deal goes for about the same as the cost of the most expensive winners choice strings.
