Its all in how you look at things. I am wondering with the tires blowing out and the check engine light along with the expired registration, do you maintenance your vehicle properly?
I assure you that there are vehicles with a good maintenance record that have two blowouts and a check engine light on, especially with all the emissions crap. We all speed at some point so I agree that it was bad luck. Your luck will change soon, after all deer season is getting closer
Kind of know how you feel I was laid off from work the last of December 2009. Like said above have faith it will get better. Far as the check engine light like mentioned above could be anything just make sure the essentials are okay like the engine oil level and the radiator reservoir is at the correct fill level.
I think that sums it up. AMEN And maybe paying attention to your vehicle every once in awhile other than just putting gas in it you might have better luck.
Seems like good luck there to me?

Well, we ALL have rainy days and even weeks like that... when ever I find myself in a down poor, I just try to think about that guy on the corner that holding the card board sign or that old lady who has her meals delivered to her from "meals on wheels" cause she cant afford to buy a meal. When ever you think you have it bad just remember how bad it could really be.
Keep you chin up.... clounds will part soon. It only makes you stronger....
