you carry a full size 1911 regularly? That is a big pistol to be hauling around all the time.

Is it just me, or is the hammer cocked, ready to go? Just saw that.

Nice holster by the way. Have any for a Smith and Wesson 642 airweight for the wife? I would like one of those.

cocked and lock is how the pistol was designed to be carried , you are prob used to pistols without external hammers. it has a thumb actuated safety & a grip safety , it cannot go off unless you manually disengage the safety , grip the gun & pull the trigger. all the glocks & spingfields are carried cocked you just cant see the hammer
yes i can fix you up with the 642 call anytime 817-598-9702

Sorry. I just got back in town. Yes, I carry a 1911 5" everyday. The barrels are easy to conceal, and 1911's are actually very flat pistols being single stack and conceal better than many "concealable" pistols. (IMO).

Yes. Cocked and Locked. As Bigmike said, they were designed for this. My Glock is also cocked if one is in the go hole, you just do not see the hammer.
1911 is, to me, the epitome of a proper main carry pistol.

Played with it this weekend. Recoil is about the same with both cartridges. Noise on the other hand, was much louder with the mag rounds.

                    Mike

Can you make one for a TLE/RL II without the gun? I carry it every day, so can't get it to you.
