First Bowfishing Gar

Went to Grapevine Lake today and got my first alligator gar, and now i am hooked. Don't know what took me so long to get into bowfishing but it was awesome. Still need some practice, as i saw about 30 but only got 1 in 4 hours. Shooting without a sight is hard but with practice i will be good. It was 34" and 7.5lbs

Yes I have taken many alligator gar from denton creek on grapevine lake. Biggest gar i got was 4' and 45lbs. Next year i will guiding if anyone is interested.

better than me all i have under my bow fishin belt is a perch and im almost possitive thats a fine..........i didnt have much faith i would hit it haha

Two rows of teeth if its a gada gar! Looks like a shorty to me though and its not illegal to shoot perch in texas
