I live on a small ranch and have a horrible tick problem and am tired of having to pull them off of my dogs constantly. Is there anything I can do to get rid of them?
Go to your local garden shop, (not home depot or lowes) and have them get you some nemotodes. they are a microscopic worm that you spray on your lawn with a water sprayer. they go into your soil where they feed upon fleas, ticks, termites, larvea of bettles, etc...that live in the soil.... get the nematodes that are on the "blue sponge"....
Along with everything else.
Might visit the local feed store and buy some food grade Diatemous Earth(sorry about the spelling) And start feeding as prescribed, to your dogs works great for cattle.
I dont have much input for u. I have pulled out/cut out 2 ticks on my dog which is 11 months old but have not found any recently. I just put him on Advantix
No problems with nematodes on your pets, animals or humans..they stay in the ground and feed on the pests. They are not going to do much to ticks this year but next year when it is still cool and the ticks are still in the ground they will take care of them....
