New Wraps and 1st Arrow Build

I have built one dozen arrows and on the second dozen. I was wondering if you any of you use reflective wraps on your hunting arrows (using them for hog hunting right now, not sure for deer season yet) . My thought was if you have to track after dark and if the arrow stay in you might be able to see it better or at least you will find your arrow. I have access to a bunch of these and also in different colors. Has anyone had any problems with the fletch staying glued on. I have shot these arrows about 60 times and so far nothing yet. I am shooting ICS Venture 400 with a 100 grain tip. The bow is a Hoyt Powertec with a 28.5" draw, pulling 62lbs if that helps out. Like I said I am pretty new to this so I hope I am doing it right

Here is a close up, but it does not glow that much since it is close.

        Daivd,

I have been meaning to get over there to pick it up. I have another target in the back yard. I have been shooting up at HCB since the have a mini 3d target course set up. I got invited to a Hog thinning out party on Monday and Tuesday.

Yankee, I just bought some Gold Tips without fletchings. I painted on a florescent orange tail and then put on some white reflective tape to try out. I'm using FOBs, so vanes aren't a issue. I've shot them several times and haven't noticed any wobble or off target problems, so I'm gonna hunt hogs with them later in June. I did the orange so I could see them easily during the day, and the tape should help at night when searching with a light. The tape I used isn't a wrap, so I'm curious where you got yours. I haven't seen the reflective wraps in our local stores.

This is something that I trying out, like I said I am pretty new to this. If everything works out then I will make these wraps. As of right now I will be able to get white, green, and black which reflects better then the white does. If anyone in the Austin area wants to try them out contact me I have a few that I can spare right now. The more people can test them the better the results will be on if they work or not.

How does the black reflect? Sounds cool though. I'd like to ty out a couple. Not sure about the black though. The white looks good and the green sounds good as well.

I'm heading into Austin Saturday morning for a baseball tournament. Let me know where bouts you are and I'll bring the target over on my way in to town.

I just started bowfishing like everything else that goes with the sport of archery. I have only bowfished at Tejas Park and shot my first gar over there to date. I am going to try to set the boat up for some lake action. I am not sure where or what lakes to try out. Also I need to get some work done on the boat after I notice the keel guard is coming off.

David I might be working on Saturday, but I won't know until about 5 tomorrow night. I only have white wraps right now ( for blazers) I should have green made up next week. I will have to see on what other colors is out there. I will PM you.
