    Anybody restore gas pumps?

I have a Tokheim gas pump from the late '20's early '30's that I would like to get restored. Does anybody restore or know someone that restores these? I would even consider selling for the right price. It's one of the "visible" ones like they had on American Pickers. It's over 6 feet tall and in reasonable shape.

    Thanks

    Bud

I should have known that there was a website, and a group of folks that restored old pumps as a hobby.

gaspumphobbyist.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, gaspumphobbyist.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

    Amazing reading the site.

Bill...that can't be the same pump. If so, that's incredible.

I have a friend that buys old gas pumps. Let me know what you want for it and I will pass it on.

I'm thinking pretty high. I'd really like to know what it would take to restore it. I will try to get pix this weekend.

i'm guessing to do it right (complete 100% restoration) , by someone who is very good..... it will cost from $3000 to $5000

call the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas (Pawn Stars) and ask them for a referral name/number for the guy who does their stuff

            here is their contact info

Here's another before/after. These guys must know what they're doing and there is a lot of new metal used.
