another dog ?

after reading some about lab/beagle cross I decided against them. I've found 2 pups that some friends are wanting to give away, one is a lab/golden retriever mix, 10mos old spayed and the other is a stephens curr. Any opinions?

Best dog I ever had was lab/golden cross. Great family dog and loved to hunt the birds.
