Hunting near Leander

Does anyone hunt near Leander off 2243 West? If so do you have any pics from 2009-2010. Also any hogs in that area? We will be hunting there in 2010-2011.

There is so much construction in the area it would be hard to tell. Good luck with it and if you need help finding something give me a call as Im in the neighborhood.

Where are you hunting? Just west of Leander or further out past Travis county line?

If you are "just" west, did you get a lease at Bagdad and 2243 on the SW corner behind the new gas station?

We are past bagdad a few miles on the rt. off 2243.

Been hunting a few miles west of you for the last 12 years. Some really good deer in the area if you are patient. Overall deer numbers are good.

The deer in my profile pic closest to the elk is 128" 8pt from 06 from that area. I have bigger on trail cam.

If you have water you may get some pigs as well.

Thanks for the info. I was told we have no pigs (yet) but one was seen 2yrs ago @ 1/2 mile from the gate dead on the side of the road. We do have water so not sure what the deal is. Maybe they will show up this yr.

Any pics you would be willin to share would be great.

Yes he does. I think he was listing it on Craigslist for some new openings.

well I went out to check my trail cam and saw lots of deer pics and coons AND this little guy or gal. lol

I live in Leander now but lived out down 2243 for 20 years so I drove by where his lease his every day.

I do not quite know where your lease is, but am very curious to know exactly where it is. I look for deer off to the right when I drive out to my parents house so I bet I look on your lease all the time.
