    lacy ?

i have a chance to get a 2yr old female, do u think she's too old to train? also, she's supposed to be full blood. i have 2 pix i can email someone to see what they think if she is. mainly looking for a pet for kids but also use for a trailing dog. thanks guys. pm or post email if u can help determine if she's full blood, not that it matters b/c price is right, just curious.

    thanks,
    sammy

I got lacy/plott mix when she was two and she is doing fine on trailing and also a spoiled pooch. I would not trade her at all, she is a great friend and has a good nose in fact I think she is teaching me now.

      I say go for it!!!

If she is full blooded then they should have some kind of paper work on her. Or at least tell you where she came from.

i am no pro seeing as i just got one myself. but i will say that mine, 15months, is learning new tricks(demands) very quick. he just wants to please mostly. i have been learning that its all about the bloodline they come from as far as what job is best for the dog. i would get with Bones, or Centexduck on here for more info.

Of course you would ,lol. Really liked your little dynamo. A grown one might be easier to train.

thanks, she's not reg. she will be a super cl find if she works out. the reason i question her being full blood is because she has a lot of white, almost a ring around her neck.

That is why she is not registered, but she is probably full blood. They keep a tight leash ( ) on breeding and registering b/c the gene pool is small.

Lacys tend to be late maturing, so at two she may be a lot easier to train than a pup.

They are so **** smart, they are born too old to train!

You should be good to go -- so much of what they do is instinctual....they will do fine training you!
