Looking at the chart where does the Spikes stack up at Billy and other AR gurus? How quality is there barrel? It meets an A or NO?

BTW, I went with the billet matching upper and lower. Pretty pumped, Putting Trijicon Glass on top, Magpul handguards, ctr stock, Larue Scope mount.

16" Barrel length has been proven to best velocities in 6.8SPC, I would recommend 6.8x43 or SPCII chamering the above chart should leave you able to narrow it down on your own to what you want.

It boils down to this, what do you want to use the rifle for?

Short Range / Short Barrel: Sub 500yds
        16" 6.8spc 100-115g Great for Hunting(small-med size game)/Tactical Work

Long Range / Target Long Barrel: 500-1200yds
20-24" 6.5Grendel 123-144g Also good for Hunting sub 500yds but greater BC allow for greater Ballistic properties after 500yds, While similar Ballistically to 308 does not provide as much KE after 650yds, great for target shooting. Also great for reloaders due to the available bullets in 6.5mm, not so great if you just want to shoot.

Im not a guru but in my opinion, Spike's will be a solid B+ to an A
Tom seems to be a disciple of "The Chart"(s) and follows as close as he can..

what mags are you picking up ?
I just had a couple of PRI 10 rounders magically appear on the front steps...

Visiting with Rob_S and Paulo Santos and Harrison (owner of AR15Performance), Spikes tactical has all the goodies that is needed for an A... BCM is basically the poorer man's Colt now, Spikes is right there with them. I've owned several Spikes Tact stuff, and the new uppers, all being midlength, will chomp the lower end competition up and spit it out!! The only problem I have with STAC is their customer service when it comes time to shipping. Shipping is a little on the high end, and if there's a problem regardless of your fault or not, there's an additional cost. Not something greatly detesting, but frustrating.

Harrison's got some outstanding barrels that are NitroCarbonized, and I think, if broken in correctly, are some of the most accurate barrels in the 6.8 market, aside from his previous 12 twist barrels.

I currently own a Wilson Combat upper, 18", that is consistently 1/2-3/4 MOA at 100 with 115 OTM and 90gr TNT from Silver State Armory.

THe next build will be on a short barrel 10.5" from Noveske. That short, Noveske is the way to go.
Feel free to ask questions if you need to OP and any others. Quite a few of us 6.8 shooters on this board.

Great info Sneed, i have a Bushy lower that is burning a hole in my safe, it may be heading for a Multi Cal SBR. 10.5" barrel length, for 6.8, 5.56, and .45.

Billy, i have some PRI and Cproduct Mags, plus a Barrett is coming with mine, I put ranger plates on all of them to differentiate them from my 5.56 mags, I never want to mistake one for the other, that could be real bad!

Hey travis and others... I do not much care for the Cproducts ones that I have. I've got two 10rounders.... They will need a magazine upgrade kit soon. I get ftf on one of them consistently.... don't know the problem besides the spring. You can buy a spring and follower kit online for pretty cheap, but not through brownells.

I have color coded my calibers.... oddly enough... FG is for 6.8... ALL 6.8 is the FG. SO the Magpul GI Ranger plates going on the PRI and the Cprod mags are all the same....

My 5.56 is FDE or Black... so that's easy. No mixture.

000-----00000 I've got a Quentin Defense Billet Lower that I'm going to SBR, and will be my dedicated SBR platform (and grip on that one will host a MIAD grip with FG, FDE and Black, to differentiate )..... anyway... Of all the magazines I've used, the PRI ones are good to go, Barrett also. PRI has their 20rounders on clearance, and can be had for 25$ prior to shipping on their website

                  Good deal there!
