    Trading trucks

I had a chance to trade my 2004 Z71 crew cab for a 2005 2500 HD Crew Cab with a Durmax Diesel and all I had to do was give $3,500.00 and my truck. My new truck came with a spray in bed liner, full replacement brush guard, new BFG all Terrian tires and my new truck had the exact same package as my Z71. My Z71 had all the bells and whistles. Would you have traded trucks and did I make a good decision. Both truck are white with tan leather interior. If anyone has a Durmax Diesel can you tell me what kind of gas mileage I can expect. I will post some picture of my new truck soon.

Gas mileage? at least a few miles before it goes POP.

Fuel mileage, I bet it's close to what your gasser was getting.

      Congrats on the new truck!

I have an 01, I get about 17 on highway. I am running Edge Atitude most of time on level 2. Get about 15 pulling 16 ft utility trailer with four ATV's to lease.

About the same, are you crazy? I get over 24 m.p.g. in my duramax 3/4 ton. My buddy's gas 3/4 ton gets 12 on a good day. Plus, diesel is cheaper. Be sure and "chip" it, and the mileage will get even better.

Hypertech. I've heard the Bullydogs are great too. It's been three years since I chipped mine, might be something better now.

Over 24MPG on a crewcab only due to a chip!?!?! Hook me up with some knowledge on how to make this work for me. Approximate cost? Risks?

I get from 15.5 to 18.5 everyday all day with my 2003 Duramax, 4X4, Crewcab.

I've got a 2005 2500HD Crew Cab Duramax 4x4. I'm getting 20mpg without a chip. 50K miles and its just starting to get broke in. I tried a Diablo flash tuner for the computer and it was a waste of money. Increased the horsepower but then the tranny didn't shift right. The computer read that I was getting 23mpg and that I used 18 gallons but when I filled up I put in 23 gallons. I have heard that the Hypertech really works well (or correctly) so that is probably worth looking into.

285x75x16 Pro Comp All Terrains. I did have to turn up the torsion bars to get tire clearance for the front end.

                            Wow!!!

I never got better than 17mpg in my 2003 duramax 3/4 ton crew cab.

Wish I could have gotten that much out of mine.
