    K&N Cold Air Intake - 2002 7.3L F250

Thinking about putting one one to help with gas mileage and a few more HPs. Anybody have one? How are they working out for you?

I don't have the whole system, but I run K&N filters on all my vehicles.

I have never heard anything bad about the cold air system.

I say go for it, and let that big 7.3 breathe.

I have one on mine, but I added a programmer at the same time so I don't know how much difference it made, overall.

Don't really know personally about the K&N's, but a lot of the diesel websites/forums say that the K&N is the worst for keping out the very small dust particles, a killer for diesels. Might want to check out those sites and ask the same question. i know there are some very good tests floating around that compare the cold air intakes and their effectiveness. Not sure where, but I have seen them a few times.

A lot of people on www.thedieselstop.com say NOT to use K&N on turbo-charged diesels.
I don't know one way or the other, I removed the K&N filter after I bought my '02 stroke last year after I saw that.
