    Heading to Colorado Springs, Co....Tips?

I am driving with my parents tomorrow to Colorado Springs, Co. I think we are heading up to Amarilo from Crawford over to 87 through the corner of New Mexico to hit I25 all the way in to CS. Is that an ok path?

Anything I should visit or do in Colorado Springs? I am there till Monday AM. What is the best hunting areas around there, so I can check them out for the future.

Heath, head West a few hours and come pound some ducks with us!
I just got back from Alaska and we will be duck hunting the next three days and then elk hunting after that.
      Always room for one more!

Heath....been there and done the scouting thing. I could tell you a couple of places in Unit 68 to hunt elk. I have found a honey hole for both elk and mullies in unit 68.

I spent 10 days there and I know it backwards and forwards. You could use a climbing stand over a watering hole in a group of Asens and the view would never bore you.

I travel to Colorado on business all of the time and I am looking for a reason to get back. Next year I will put in for a draw on mullies and bugle for elk. If there....I will go to Walmart and buy my elk tags.

          Have fun!!!!

Heath, just got back from their in August. Took my 4, 3 and 1 year old all over Colorado Springs. Santa's workshop is a must for the kids. Spent all day their. The Cheyenne mountain zoo is nice, but a lot of up and down walking. Did the cogway to the top of Pikes Peak, very nice. Went to the Royal Gorge bridge in Canon City about an hour away, highest suspension bridge in the world. Also the the Royal Gorge train ride, it's a must if you can do it. If you like planes, the Air Force Acedemy is also pretty cool. Did the Cave of the winds also, Natural Bridge caverns here in Texas is better I think. The Seven Falls water fall is pretty neat also, just alot of climbing. Take a good pair of comfortable shoes with ya. Here's a few pics.
